The terms, in plain English

StayTrue produces reports about holiday accommodation listings. A report states what a guest can expect from a stay, based on the listing text, house rules, guest reviews, and checkable location facts, together with questions worth asking the host. Traveller reports are free. Audits for property managers are paid work covered by a separate written agreement.

StayTrue is not a travel agent and not a booking service. Reports never tell you to book or not to book, never rank or compare properties, and are not travel, legal, safety, or financial advice.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Airbnb, Booking.com, or any other platform. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Reports are built from what a listing and its reviews said at the moment of analysis. Listings change, reviews accumulate, and sources can be wrong or incomplete, so a report can be too. Where we could not read something, the report says so.

Always confirm anything that matters to your safety or your money directly with the host or the platform: pool safety, accessibility, fees, house rules, and anything you would not want to discover on arrival. You remain responsible for your booking decisions.

The free service is for personal use. We apply daily limits per browser and a monthly service budget, and we may refuse, limit, or stop service to protect them. Do not use bots or scripts against the site, resell or mass-produce reports, or attempt to disrupt the service.

Report pages live on unlisted links: anyone you share a link with can view that report. Text you paste in and feedback you send us may be stored and used to produce your report and to improve the service. Do not paste content you have no right to share.

No accounts, no names, no ad tracking. We set one cookie: an anonymous browser id used for the daily report limit and to remember your reactions. To keep the free service fair we also keep short-lived counters based on a keyed scramble of your network address; they expire within two days, are never used to identify or profile you, and the address cannot be recovered from them without our secret key. We store the trips you analyse, your reactions, and any feedback you send. Email us to have your feedback or reports removed.

The free service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of, or reliance on, a report, including booking decisions made with it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We may change the service and these terms. Material changes will appear on this page with a new effective date. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
